Dr. Faraj Edher
DDS, MSc, Dip Pros, FRCD(C)

Dr. Edher is a Specialist in Prosthodontics who uses advanced digital technologies alongside an unparalleled attention to detail and precision in order to deliver high quality prosthodontic treatments.

 

He is a world-renowned educator and speaker, having lectured to and trained thousands of his colleagues across Canada and abroad. Dr. Edher is the founder and mentor of Canada’s largest dental study club (BC Dental Study Club), and the Clinical Director of a global educational organization (Digital Dentistry Institute).

 

Dr. Edher is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia, where he teaches for the dental undergraduate program, and the postgraduate prosthodontics and periodontics programs.

Education

Dr. Edher received his Masters in Craniofacial Science and Postgraduate Speciality training in Prosthodontics at the University of British Columbia, where he graduated top of his class in 2017. Prior to that, Dr. Edher received his dental degree from the University of Sharjah, where he graduated top of his class with high distinction in 2014.

 

With a clinical and research focus on the utilization of digital technology in dentistry, Dr. Edher aims to enhance the predictability and efficacy of complex implant reconstructions, aesthetic rehabilitations, and smile makeovers.

 

Teaching

In addition to clinical work, Dr. Edher has a passion for education as he is a Clinical Assistant Professor and guest lecturer at the University of British Columbia, as well as an author and co-author of numerous publications on digital dentistry and dental implants. His clinical and research interests focus on the utilization of digital technology to enhance the predictability and efficacy of complex implant reconstructions and aesthetic rehabilitations.

 

He regularly gets invited to give presentations, seminars, and workshops, both locally and globally, on a range of different topics. These topics include generalized and specialized presentations focusing on digital dentistry, implant dentistry, treatment planning, and aesthetic rehabilitation.

 

Dr. Edher is the Founder and Mentor of Canada’s largest study club, the BC Dental Study club, with over 1000 members.

 

Dr. Edher is also the Director of the Digital Dentistry Institute, a global educational organization that conducts comprehensive training programs in digital dentistry and implant dentistry.

 

Pursuit of Mastery

Dr. Edher is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and an active member of the American College of Prosthodontists, Association of Prosthodontists of Canada, and the Canadian Association of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics.

Personal

Outside of his passion for dentistry and education, Dr. Edher engages in various physical pursuits, in particular water sports and boxing. He also loves to travel and immerse himself in different cultures and adventures around the world.

 

Dr. Edher is also a Web3 enthusiast as his drive to learn as much about the digital metaverse and innovative technologies as possible does not stop at digital dentistry. Dr. Edher is a firm believer in embracing change and improving every day.

 

In his downtime, Dr. Edher can be found spending quality time with his family or watching The Office for the hundredth time as he will contest with anyone who tries to disagree that it is the greatest show ever made. Thankfully, he runs his clinic nothing like Michael Scott ran his office.
